Going to Rockport the last of this month. Looking for a good guide. I've heard of two guides..Green Honet Guide and Tim Redden. Just wondering if they are good or do any of you pros out there have any other suggestions?

I do not know either of those gents though I have heard both their names. Redfish Lodge has several really good guides who run trips outside the lodge. You might give them a call and ask for a rec if none of their guys are available. Ask for Bryan. Besides him, two of the best I have fished with down there are Scott Isbell and DeWayne Flowers (I think that's his last name) but I have no idea if either one are still guiding. I know DeWayne had some serious back issues several years ago. RFL will know how to get ahold of them. Good luck. I have several friends with places in Rockport so I'll get you some other good names in the morning and check back.

This is one of my friends, we've always caught fish with him.

Jay Watkins or his son Jay Jr if you want one of the best with artificials. Jay also stays pretty booked and gets $600 a day. Jr gets $500 a day.

Hardcore Arificial. He calls Glups "bait". Probably not what you want for wife or kids.
