My heart goes out to the family of the man that tragically drowned at Ray Hubbard today. I had to help get get his body into a boat on my way back to the park from fishing. The guy was very nice. He and some buddies and family had been out there all day on jet skis all having a great time. He stopped to ask about the fish I was catching and was planning on going to grab his gear to come back out. That chance never came. About an hour later, walking back to the park my buddy and I noticed a lone jet ski up against the bank. By time we made it down there, two of his buddies were pulling up and thats when we saw him face down in the water. told my buddy to call 911 while we got him out of the water. Flagged down a boat and got him back to the ramp. Woman attempted cpr until the paramedics got there, and the paramedics tried to revive him for about 10 minutes before they gave up and took his body to the hospital. It's crazy. He was out there having a good time, laughing and enjoying life, and an hour later face down in the water... Really makes you realize how special life is.

That's terrible news. I was out there yesterday as well, but was off the water by noon. The water/wind was pretty tough, as it has been all spring. Prayers for the family.
