All I have heard is you can cross but you have to dodge cranes and other equipment after you go around barricades.

Any change in the water level? Is it still 8 ft. low. Planning on fishing there first of June and again on Father's Day.

Yes I heard it is next followed by the 103 bridges or might be the other way around. Water level is still low they got some rain last week but they are starting to pull water for the rice farms. Be careful there are stumps everywhere.

At some point later this year, the 147 bridge project is supposed to begin and approximate timeline for rebuild/repairs is 2 years. At least that is what the highway department guys said around Pineland... Lake is about 8.5 ft low and falling slowly. It will continue to fall as they generate and send water south to Beaumont.
When in doubt, jerk.

The HWY 83 bridge over Ayish Bayou has been open since the week after McDonalds. I drive it almost daily.
Electrical generation releases have been suspended until further notice. Minimal releases to keep water moving down the Angelina/Neches will continue. Current level 155.90, 8.5' below pool, and is slowly falling due to normal evaporation.
I've heard alot of rumors about the HWY 147 bridge closure. Differing timeline from every source I've talked to.
