Jonathon Simon of Simon Outfitters in Kirbyville, Tx will be holding weekly evening tournaments on the sabine river starting next tuesday the 17th of may. these will be held every tuesday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Launch site is the ramp on simmons drive in orange. $40 per team. 3 fish limit. 14 inch minimum. all fish must be kept alive. no practicing day of tournaments. police will be patrolling the ramp area while tournament is going on.

This is going to be a good little tournament. A lot of people sound interested. The payouts should be good. Time to go find a 14 incher on the ol sabine.

You can fish one person per team or two per team. He is working out details on the championship.

They have evening tournaments on the neches on Thursday. Gives people a chance to fish both if they choose to.

about time someone puts somthing on at the sabine again. do you have to have a saltwater license to launch there?

Not to launch but from what I understand is you need one to fish south of I 10.

SORRY, THATS WHAT IM MEANT(TO FISH). IM OUT OF STATE, I KEEP A TEXAS FRESHWATER TO FISH RAYBURN ALOT AND ITS $58 BY ITSELF. I KNOW FOR US IN LA ITS EVERYTHING SOUTH OF THE INTERCOASTAL WE HAVE TO HAVE SALTWATER THATS WHY I WAS ASKING.

Freshwater works north of I 10 as long as you don't stop and fish south of bridge. If you fish south of bridge you need a Texas salt water license since your launching from the Texas side.

every thursday. pretty much same rules apply for the neches tournament as the ones i listed for this one.

talked to a few guys fishing the sabine. They are catching some quality fish. This should be pretty fun catching some bass close to home.
