I would like to clear up some issues with the New Freshest Data Update Program from Navionics. We have encountered a few technical glitches in some of the downloads. It is happening to some and not to others. Also the download speed is long and depending on internet connection and broadband width it can take several hours. We are asking that you be patient with us as we are working through these issues. I assure you they are a top priority and we are working non stop on them. If you encounter any issues please contact our customer service dept. at 1-800-848-5896 and the technical support team will be in touch within 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this is causing. I assure you the issue will be resolved.

Now that I have said the above. Let me redirect the conversation a bit. All the new data that has been added to the chart far outweighs any issues we are having and is well worth waiting for. We got requests from this forum to please add roadbeds, creekbeds, etc back into our product. We are doing that plus some. We have also updated the shorelines for accuracy, added all the docks in the right places and right shapes, added submerged ponds, foundations, brushpiles. We have redesigned the way creekbeds and roadbeds appear on our charts. This is the standard we will be setting on all the lakes possible on our charts. The whole concept of "Freshest Data" is just that, to bring you the angler the best and most recent data available.

Does the current upgrade (download) contain all of the embellishments that you just mentioned?

Does anyone have an answer for this one? Just got my new Navionics Hotmaps Premium South in from Cabelas today. I registered for the webstore and put my card into the card reader. The first time i tried the update it told me it was copy protected, so i unlocked it with the little switch. The next time I get a message that there is not enough room on the card and to make room by deleting some files! Any suggestions?

I opened the file and deleted the "AL11.nv2'file. I was then able to download the update. Be careful! I have talked to a few people that have had the entire chip erased. If any doubt exist I suggest contacting tech support.

ok. Seems wierd that they would ship a card that you have to delete files to update. Seems like the process would be automated. Probably to late for tech support tonight. I'm heading to Fork in the morning for 5 days, guess it will have to wait until I get back. That is sort of disappointing.

I had the chip and returned it because of the lack of info on Fork. Check out other areas of this forum. Good luck if your fishing the Legends

My fishing partner backed out. So, i won't be fishing but I will be there. Legend is a great company and is gonna buff out scratches on my boat and repair a latch and install some stuff for me. Good luck to you as well if you are fishing.
