I am firing ALL OF YOU GUYS AND GALS....
It is not very brilliant to make a bass fishing trolling motor without a lit "indicator" arrow of some sort, OR put a backlight on the POS remote.
You guys/gals ever heard of night fishing?

The huge mistake in your rant is the "bass trolling motor"
That motor was not designed with the bass fisherman in mind. If they thought it was for bass fisherman it would be on the front of the boats fishing BASS, and FLW.
Fortex of for bass fishing. Terrova is for open water crappie sandbass walleye.

Thank You Jeromy for setting me straight on this..I had no idea, I only fish about 200 days a year.
Make sure you forward Ritchie White that guides on Fork, and fishes at night, and has one...We dont want other fishermen making the same mistakes..
BUT, even crappie fisherman fish at night.

Just ask someone at MK they will tell you the same thing.
I am not saying you cannot use it for whatever you want, and am surely not saying you cannot bass fish with it. But no electric steer motor has the steering response that a bass fisherman expects out of his motor. Some people weigh the pros and cons and decide the pros out weigh the cons.
They are for open water. Not lots lots of steering in timber IE needing a steering arrow.

The POS remote has a backlight. It's the button right in the middle.
BTW, if you're thinking about unloading the POS I'll offer you a fair price.

The 2nd POS remote that I currently possess does not, like the first one, have a backlight that works.
Mine doesnt have a 60" shaft, it has a 45" inch shaft, and it does have a side imaging transducer, and it is a 101lb.
It also has a FOOT PEDAL!! WOOHOO!!!
BUT NO LIGHTED ARROW ON TOP!!

What you could do, I know it isnt the answer your looking for, but get some of that glow tape that Team catfish sells. I have used it on my rod ends and it holds a glow very well. you could cut an arrow out of this stuff, I may actually do this once I get my trolling motor. anyways here is a link http://www.teamcatfish.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=35&products_id=52
