+1 I have a lowrider and bucoo. Both are great rods, but I would recommend saving $20-$40 and go with Bucoo. Best rod on the market for the money IMO.

for that price my allstar rod is amazing, it's a 6'10 I got for wadefishing salt and its one of my favorite all around rods

I just picked up a citica200E and I gotta say the reel is amazing, only thing I'm gonna do is upgrade the bearings to get even more distance out of it, but for the money go with the citica

CastAway's XP3 7Mag ... 7M-X ...

Hard to beat this rod for versatility. My favorite blank in CastAways entire line. CastAways #1 blank.

I was going to say a Phfluger Summit and a Skeet Reese rod from Academy.

The reel is on sale for $70 from msrp of $160 and the rod for $50 msrp of $90.

But then I realized that you meant $120 for each. welcome

This was at the Academy in Pearland for both and the last time I looked, the reel at the store in Pasadena.

I checked out those Castaways today and they were pretty sharp. Im currently leaning towards the Falcon Boocoo until I found a Cara weightless worm hammer I like the carratostick feel as well but don't know the difference between the 100 and the 150 dollar one.
I just might have to get a few new ones thumb

The new Wild series boat flipped the 8.5 in my signature. They are crazy sensitive and worth every penty. I fish both Falcon and Carrot Stix and let me say, both are the best bang for the buck. If I could replace all of my rods though, I would go with the Cara T7s. I've fished the new Carrot Stix pro grade and the T7s. The T7's are so sensitive, you can feel a fish looking at them! Seriously you could feel a fish swimming by it from 10' away. They are crazy sensitive.

My favorite reel in that price range is the Bass Pro Carbonlite, great drag, lighter than everything else in the price range and will cast a mile.
