Is this cold front going to trash Sunday's fishing in Galveston Bay?

We were heading to Christmas Bay around 3 pm.

Thanks,
John

Thanks -- trip cancelled.

I'm not a saltwater guy (yet) so...

How long after a front moves through before the fish are active again?

I remember Summer Rainbow Trout trips in Colorado, 3 days was the rule.

John

they are actually active just not in the same areas of water as they "should" be. as the water warms the fish are pretty predictable. if you become a saltwater guy keep a trip log it will help you see.
but usually as soon as the wind calms and the water temp begins to rise again you'll see the fish again.

A day in the backseat (of a jet ski! except when I went horizontal that is :>) netted me a flounder and 4 small reds...all the reds larger than any bass I've caught in years.

Am definately on the road to being a saltwater guy!

Thanks for your help,
John
In Houston...wondering just how nice these Surfside jetties he's heard of are...and noticed that nice new bridge at Surfside last fall!

never been to the jetties but the park is plenty nice... wish we had something similar here but i guess if it were here we'd have an entry fee of 50$

i like the surfside jetty. last year i went there probably a good 10 times. i would walk out to the very end, and cast out at a 45 deg. angle on the beach side. i never go home empty handed. and ive caught quite a few sharks out there.
