Exactly! The users over here are causing all this stuff. I used think of drug abusers as just people wasting their life. Now they piss me off because my boss says no to Falcon. People are going to see Charlie Sheen's stand up show and think his hard core partying is cool. I'd like to slap a knot on all their heads. You should probably be careful who you're slapping. The problem has everything to do with US drug policy - not users. Humans have, and always will, use intoxicating substances. Get off that high horse homey.

Neuvo Guierro (sp?) is the town near the dam. There has been some pretty nasty stuff going on in that city over the last couple of years. What's that big cut there (Salinos?)? If the report's accurate that's where I'd say it is -- Coyote's pretty far (10 miles, maybe more)from the town.
And this is assuming the report's accurate. There are multiple islands within the Salinas. This one is my favorite and is near the mouth.

[/quote] There is a growing movement in this country to legalize pot for this very reason. Not to mention the billions we spend building penitentiaries for minor offenders. Legalize it... it is not worse than alcohol when it comes to abuse. And before you try to slap a knot on my head... I can't/do not use pot if I want to keep my job. Legalize it and this problem goes away.

I don't know about you guys but my upcoming trip in June will go on as planned. That's 12 less cartel members that I don't have to worry about now. The fishing is insane right now.

I have been fishing deep in Mexico 13 times in the last 3 years including on long drive down on the west coast. We have caught a lot of fish. When I fly into Mazatlan I feel very safe. When is the last time you have heard of an American tourist being shot? I am not saying that it cant happen but when you get away from the border, the facts do not support fishing in Mexico to be dangerous. Talk to Jim Beresford,his buddy was leaving Mazatlan and was kidnapped and beheaded about three years ago. He was not a tourist he was a guy that worked a a fishing outfitter.

but has nothing to do with fishing falcon lake. traveling in to Mexico by boat and by vehicle way in to the country are two completely different things.... still very sad and unfortunate tho.

Why not have our Government take the entire lake? How much did the Mexican Government pay toward dam construction anyway? And if they can't keep it safe I bet our military and Border patrol will.
