About 3 years ago, I was fishing a tournament in terrible weather in February and decided to try wading boots with my 100 MPH gear. What I found out was, if you have to fish a tournament in very cold weather and rain, wading boots work awesome! They have good grip on the deck and if you have to jump in the water for any reason, you won't spend the rest of the day freezing with wet feet.

I have an old pair of Shimanos that I'm not sure if they make any more, but these are basically the same style.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
