I pulled up on a point in Tigre, set my IPilot trolling motor on 'anchor' about 50 to 60 yrds off the point in 25' of water. My first 15 casts I caught 15 bass ranging from 3.5 lbs to 6.9 lbs. The next hour I caught a bass on just about every other cast. I sat there for not quite 3 hours and caught 48 fish. The only dink was the last bass. Taking pics by yourself isn't easy and unfortunatly the best fish got hooked in the throat and didn't make it. I'm having problems posting pics for some reason, but what I've got is just proof of my day.

Forgot to mention 12 were well over 5 lbs and 7 were well over 6 lbs.

Fishing there is like dieing and going to Heaven. It is absolutely top notch.

I can tell you right now, come June 1st, I'm going to set down and cry. My wife is a travel nurse and it looks like we are going to Gallup New Mexico. Don't know when we'll be back to Texas. As for between now and then, I'll be in my '85 Red Ranger on Falcon as much as possible.

I just knew I was going to get my first DD today with all the big fish I was catching, but it just didn't happen. I found out a while ago that my left hand is raw from holding my reel. I found out by accidentally spilling rubbing alcohol in it. OUCH. Dang, that will wake you up.

We wackeded on em pretty good today also. Had a 9-6 and a 8-4 in the first 3 hours of fishing around the state park area and caught another 7#er in Government and a bunch of fish over 6#s. It was a fun day, hoping to get that double digit fish tomorrow. We are in a blue Nitro, if you see me come say hi. We'll be in tiger tomorrow morning. Good luck!

With tomorrow being Moms Day, I had to come back to the 5th wheel at Weslaco tonight to be with Mom in the morning. I'll have to skip fishing tomorrow. With fuel the price it is, it costs about $100 per trip and that's if I don't run up and down the lake. Good luck.
