All the guides went out today to help Jeff Walker with a big corporate trip of their guests they invited. It was unreal this morning. One of my clients caught a beautiful 6 1/2 pounder on his first cast. In just the first two hours, by 9:00, he had just over 31 pounds on his biggest 5, with an 8.42 as his largest. The other client in the boat had just over 25 pounds in those first two hours. We quit recording weights after the first two hours when we started having double hook-ups. Jeff Walker said his clients had the same experience and caught an 8 1/2 as their larger fish.

To answer your question on "numbers" being caught lately. My two clients caught just over 30 fish today. We actually quit counting at 20 and had to recap the rest of the day to try and determine about how many we caught. Most were in the 3 to 6 pound range. Only 4 or 5 were under 2 pounds.

I heard a lot of stories this afternoon of 10's. 11's and a 12 caught today. The bite turned off at noon, when the wind switched direction and started howling out of the due South. We only caught 4 fish from 1:00 to 4:00.

So, today Ivie reminded me of the old days on the numbers of fish that could be caught.

Wow Tommy! Sounds like it was unreal today! I might have to come back out with you again soon for another outing in May or June.

Today was a good say for a bunch of people on Ivie.

Man I want to get out there so bad!! Hopefully we can get Ivie on our tournament schedule next year.

I saw that pic yesterday on a coworker's phone on the way to fish cleburne yesterday evening, he got the text from another friend, we all work together at Lockheed. Like said, first thing I said is he just missed the SAL. That is the fish of a lifetime!!!

Anyone willing to share on whats working at Ivie right now? I'm fishing a small tourney (30 guys max) this weekend, and defending my second place title I won at this one last year. I haven't been to Ivie in over a month, and fishing is probably a bit different now than it was a month ago.
