Has anyone noticed all the leeches in the basses mouths down at amistad? Doesn't seem like it can be good for them?

I haven't been fishing out there this year, but that doesn't sound good. What do they look like? How big are they?

Now that you mention it, it seems like I've seen that more over the years at Amistad then any other lake I've fished. I don't think I've ever seen a Falcon fish with a leech.
Doesn't seem to hurt the fish any though.

these things are small and look like reddish maggots. they are dug into the flesh mostly in the upper mouth below the nostrils. they don't seem to affecting the bass. the ones we caught were pretty healthy

Manchu, is right. I have seen these things since the 70's some years more than others but the National Park Service and the biologist from TP&W have said that they pose know threat to the fish or enviroment. Our fish down here are nice and fat and healthy.
Respectfully,
