before I ask my question, I need to tell you, I am clueless when it comes to motors and electronics, so if you dont understand what I am trying to say...I probably don't either so bare with me. Boat turning over but not starting, acts like its not getting gas..checked fuel lines, they are good...fuel filter is clean...hot wired fuel pump and it works...checked fuses, all work...what else could it be besides the wiring?
I had the boat out about a month ago and it started and ran ok, except a couple of times when I was decelerating off of plane, it died, but started right back up...thought something could be clogged, but all lines are good.

Don't look at me like I'm crazy,,,,but,,,,there is a pressure switch at the sending unit for the oil pressure. That switch will cut off the fuel pump and not allow the engine to start by using the key. You can by pass that switch. It will shut the engine down if there is not enough oil pressure. Might want to check it out...... Also we ran into this three times this summer. Needle stuck in float chamber cutting off fuel going into carb. Remove flame arrestor and pump throttle handle, do you see fuel squirting? If not. There you go. If you did....Maybe you just flooded it. The 4.3 is a bugger to start if you flooded it. It's like once flooded, always flooded. In that case, pull spark plugs and crank for 30 seconds. Blow off spark plugs or spray with carb cleaner, replace and try again......

Thanks for the help Mike, gonna try them out this weekend...any idea where the pressure switch for the oil would be located?
