Hey,

I am new to the area and would like to bring home some crappie. Bass fishing has been really good for me on Caddo.
Is there an area I can target for crappie?

if you fish caddo, you already have seen one of the better crappie lakes in those parts! Just get you some jigs and hit some docks , brush or cat tails , or bridge pillars on Caddo and you will find some good crappie! that lake has some barn-door slabs off in it! other than that, i would recommend Fork.

LOP is a great crappie lake. i rank it third on my lifetime list of crappie holes behind Navarro Mills and Bridgeport. I just mentioned Caddo because he said he already knows the lake and it does have a very good population of slabbers in it! sorry if i offended, it was not meant that way! cheers

None intended........

It is an awesome lake!!! You should see the slabs that end up in the Bayou when LOP is dumping water!!!!!

Shooting docks around Jefferson should be awesome right now!!!!!!!

welcome aboard- you got lots of good tips already

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
