Had a tough personal day yesterday so told my wife late this afternoon I'm running out to get some hybrids for dinner. Was out for an hour and a half and killed the fish. I think God wanted to get my mind off things... They were on Humps from end of jetty again and the Peanut. Had limit on hybrids and threw six hybrids back. Actually caught more hybrids than sandies. When leaving Peanut showed a guy where they were... I left and hope he caught some. We just grilled them and life is good... Happy Fishing.

If mean lures was using Mitchell's 1-1/2 OZ, green colored slab. They were stacked up and I usually look for the Hybrids about 4-5 feet behind the sand bass in a little deeper water. My theory is the scraps of shad float down to the hybrids and I hit them there. Today was 20-22 feet....

I wasn't going to post but this was like speed fishing! Was amazing hitting the hybrids so fast. Sometimes it takes me several hours... I'm kidding! When have been able to get out the getting has been good!

Saaaaweeeeeet! Very nice way to spend the afternoon. I am glad to hear that green slabs still work, I was thinking of switching to copper or blaze orange.

I watched the game and still can't believe we beat the vaunted Lakers two in a row at home.... Something special is happening with this team! Life is real good!

Amen to that! Of the six I threw back (4) were of keeper size. That will get your mind off of things real quick....

I started using Moe's slabs also this year but that long green slab from Mitchell has been my go to hybrid slab for probably as long as Mr. Mitchell has been making them! There's nothing special about that slab but it just flat out produces. I have a couple tricks I do with the slab but the slab is the key.
