Does anyone know where I can put a jon boat in the Navasota or Brazos river near Navasota to set some tree lines? I need somewhere where there is not a drop off to the water...

Gator Slide?
Well, actually that was a little sleugh-off that fed into the river there at Democrat Crossing. It was only a 4 foot "young-un". Back in '79 there was no drop-off. I am sure the "pet" is a tad bit larger now.

we used to fish that area around millican back in the day- hauled some good cats out of there
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

There's lots of good cats in the Navasota, my favorite area is above Limestone though, just outside of Groesbeck.Lots and lots of big yellows good white bass area during the spawn.

You can put a fullsized boat in the Navasota at Fort Parker State Park... it is rare to go out there and not catch really nice channels off of cut shad or live minnows. I would like to know if there are spots to but a 19.5' boat in to the Navasota closer to Limestone?
