I am in the Abilene area and I am looking into get a 2011 Tracker Pro 16. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the rates for the taxes and title fees as well as any highly regarded lenders for boat financing. Any informaiton would be greatly appreciated.

The tracker Boat website has a calculator that figures taxes and fees into the "out the door" price.

I bought mine from tracker in Abilene. I can tell you, buy online or make the drive to Breakenridge. I have never had a good experence in Abilene tracker store.
As far as financing it depends on what your looking for. First Abilene FCU, will finance a new boat for 84 months at around 4%. If you go with tracker there rates were a little higher but they would finance up to 10 years.
I used ATFCU 4% for 60 months. They will finance 100% MSRP, they also let you finance any accessories that are on the invoice.

When buying a boat always think downrange. Make sure you research a lot This can not be stressed this enough. You can never get enough boat but you can buy to little. Check out "Boating With Dawsons" website. They have a lot of great articles on how to's and don't. Can answer a lot of your questions on purchasing a boat especially as a first time buyer. Also, remember about purchasing boaters insurance. A boat is a huge investment just like a home. Depending on what you or why you are purchasing a boat. You also have to consider how often you will use it and where and how you will store in. There is a lot to owning a boat. Do your research and talk to those who own boats. Not just one but several other boat owners.

One word of advice with a Tracker. Upgrade. Upgrade your batteries, trolling motor, electronics and most of all the engine. They are under powered badly in the "package" deals.

I would get a used boat before a 16' tracker. That is just too small and aluminum and will blow all over the place.
 Boatless for minute
