I am near Lake Arlington on the Fort Worth side and am looking for a spot to take my little one to catch some crappie without the noise, crowds, and general jerkyness of Lake Arlington. Dose anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Bankside if you dont mind driving about a hour west to Mineral Wells state Park they have a lot of fishing Piers, One by the Park Store and you dont have to have fishing licenses in a enclosed park Lake waters. Also a lot of areas to fish from the Bank as well, Its just outside of the City of Mineral wells look it up, theres crappie, catfish, Bream, bass and other species of fish there. I have taken all my 4 Girls there for fishing and they dont allow skiing, Jet Skis or power Boats there. Only fishing Boats! Good Luck i hope this helps!

The best therapy in the world is on the water in a boat........

I caught 15 yesterday evening at Pool and 6 were keepers. A guy leaving when I got there had 20 but don't know how long he had been there. There are some nice ones in Pool, but yes a lot of dinks...
