Anyone tried it?
How does it hold up?
Does it sink?

Holds up well so far.
Yes, it is designed to sink by adding the fluro fibers into it.
It is also a very smooth braid that allows for less guide noise and smoother casting.

Ive bought a couple spools so far and like it. been using it with some crankbaits. 50# and 65#. caught a whole bunch crankin in Amistad's clear water. didnt seem to bother them. casts smooth too. I like it so far but still new.

I have one baitcaster rigged with it(50#), everything seemed fine for first 20 casts then a backlash in mid throw happened and it just snapped! Bye Bye spinnerbait, I fixed the mess, tied on a new bait and 2 fishing trips later have not had one problem. Seems strong, catches fish... Not totally sold, I've used SpiderWire in the past along with PowerPro and had no problems.

I got it at BPS in Garland. I was going to see if Academy would swap it out.
Do you think the 10# isn't too small? It's 2lb diameter.

If you can see to tie a knot with it, it is not too small. Wait until you see Nanofil this summer! That stuff is crazy small.
I am assuming that you are using it on a spinning reel for finesse stuff. Most people tie a leader to braid with small fluro leader. I personally have 30lb on my spinning reels. It is the equ. of 8 lb mono so it is still small. But I can horse fish out from around dock pilings without breaking off. I can also tie a 6 lb fluro to it and drop shot in open waters or 20lb fluro under docks.
Tie your splicing knots carefully and it will hold up well!

I have Flourobraid. It does what it says and works well.
Ive been using it these past few months with all the wind gusts we've been having.

I have used it and I hate it. I love using spiderwire because of its toughness and you rarely have to change line, but i don't like the thought of it sppoking fish. I have some poles that have had it on there for years and it still casts great. I have been going through different monos and flourocarbons to find a line that works and now im on Trilenes 100% flourocarbon. As far as the spiderwire-flourobraid, I hate it. I was fishing a small pond and had one of my favorite baits on, the only one I had because they stopped selling them, and within the first 5 casts with it just being respooled , it breaks. Then later on, it breaks again, both during the cast. I don't know if I got a bad batch or its something with my reel but I use a Shimano Curado so it better not be the reel. It just feels like the line just breaks, and when I reel it in, thats what it looks like, just a break in the line.

It's similar to Suffix 832 in that it uses Gore (Gore Tex) fibers to make it sink. I like the 832 and Flouro-Braid uses even more of the fibers so it should be good with bottom applications. Wish it wasn't $20 a spool though.
