For crappie look for fishing docks that have rod olders , floating minnow buckets or a fishing boat or anything fishing related on them. More than likely the owner as a christmas tree or two sunk around it. As far as hybrids go good luck. Very few in the lake. If I were to look for hybrids I would probably focus in the main lake. There are a few good humps I would check out.

The run is pretty much over from what I am hearing. Talked to a friend yesterday and they have been catching a bunch of whites at night under green dock lights.

I'll be on LBJ next weekend visiting, staying on a lakeside property in Granite Shoals. Are yall refering to submersible tube lights when you talk about green dock lights? Were you using minnows or jigs?

no these are the under water mounted dock lights..... i used 1/4 oz white and chartreuse roadrunners..... but yes you could use the submersible tube lights the same.... do you live near a channel? if so wake up about 630 and get ready for the sandbass to run....

I have never been to this lake before, so I am not familiar at all. My friend's lake house is on the north side of Granite Shoals between Bluebriar Park and Castlehoals Park. I might only be fishing from his dock, but if I do have access to a boat, is there a good place to drop an anchor near there for sandbass or crappie? Thanks for you help
