I am needing a little help getting my 898 DI to show detail. I think my settings could be off a little. I currently have it set on 11 and these are what the pics look like. Thanks in advance for your help & direction.

I did not get a DI shot of this. I guess it is a large brushpile???

Turn the DI Sensitivity up just a little more than SI helps.

What freq are you using on your sonar? It should come from the facotry at 455 kHz. Change it to 800 Khz and you should see quite a bit of improvement.

Looks like you are on switchfire turned on as well.

Thats how my 2D looks on 800 kz. I dont think its on switchfire, not enough clutter.
And yeah that is a brush pile.

2D does not use 800kHz only 83 or 200 kHz.

Leads me to a question Doug. Should we be set on 200, 83, or 200/83?

I use 200/83 95% of the time. ONly time I use something different (200khz) is if I want to be accurate with my waypoints since 200khz is a smaller beam which means if you see it in the smaller beam it's more than likely directly under the boat than with dual or 83khz.

Hope this helps

Mike

I do have it set on 455 Khz, I will put it on 800 Khz next time out & see if it makes a difference. Thank you all for your help.

Doug, I will also turn up the sensitivity to see if it helps...

From waht I see you have it tuned in pretty well. I would fish those Bp's and from the looks of it there are some nice Crappie on it!
