I have a Triton 220 LTS, All I can say is I love my boat and wouldn't trade it. It is a verry solid boat. I would say one problem that I've noticed and some complain about is the console being a little large.I have gotten hooked a couple of times in my jacket as I pass by the side rod holders. Upside to that is more room for electronics and such.

So many good choices out there you really need to spend time on the water in each. I'll be facing this problem in a few years (I hope) we are trying to have a child and if its a boy its a new center console, little girl its a new wakeboard boat.

All of the of the boats listed above are good boats, but for the money a Bay Stealth is as a good a boat.

As someone said, your price range determines which CC boat is best for you.
I have a CC Skeeter and love it and pray nothing ELSE ever goes wrong with it. BUT at their current price, I don't know if I would buy another one. Rethinking I guess I would.

First, be sure to ride in whatever you're looking at. Second, you can almost steal a year or two old boat in this market.

Like someone said what does your freind want to fish for. If he is just lake fishing for hybrids/stripers I would go with alittle deeper hull. They are better for big water and dont drift as fast. If he want to bay fish in skinny water too. Bluewaves are awesome. I've been in a Bluewave for 12 years.

And save gas with a 115 to 150 hp. 200 hp and up use WAY to much gas.

I love my me Century 2400 Inshore. Rides great, lots of storage, and very good looking. If I were going to look at another one I would seriously look at the Shearwater Boats. Team Shearwaters boat is flat out awesome. If I ever get rid of mine this will probably be my new ride.

I looked at CCs for 3 years. All the brands have good qualities. In the end I settled on a Nautic Star 22' Tournament Pro. Price, boat layout and standard options are the selling points. I saved $10k buying it at the Houston boat show in January over Ranger, Skeeter and Triton. So far this has been a great boat. The ride is awesome. Best way to put it - after the first trip in the boat my wife's comment "I'm Impressed". I live in North Texas. Purchased mine from Texas Marine in Conroe. Advice - On a 22 ft get at least a 225 HP outboard. I have a 2004 Nautic Star 2200........Love it!! 200hp Yamaha 4 stroke. Has been awesome!!

Good stuff guys keep it coming,Skeeter,Triton,Polar,Blue Wave,Everglades, any more?..... All good choices and I would look at Sea Hunt also. I looked at CCs for 3 years. All the brands have good qualities. In the end I settled on a Nautic Star 22' Tournament Pro..... That would be my choice if I ever get the chance to buy another boat. I love my Bluewave but the Nautic Star 2200 or 2400 TE boats are laid out exactly the way I would like it done. I think I would go with a Yamaha 200 or bigger on the 22fter. My opinion only.

I've had a Skeeter Bay Pro 22' since 2002 and love it. I've also fished out of Kenners, Blue Waves and Polars. All are great boats too but the deck layouts are different in each. Get on the websites and you will be able to see all of the differences and I would always suggest that no wood is used in the transom or stringers. At 20', you might get by with 150hp, but at 22', I don't like anything less than 200hp. Well built boats are heavy when they are empty and when you add gear and people, they get real heavy. Takes more muscle to get on plane.
