I have been to all the chains, and they just dont cut it for me anymore. I know there is Goombas in Schertz, along with Big Papas, and a great little place in Cibolo called Catalanos, but what about the big city??/ Where are the good pizza joints at? Beer is always a plus too!!

I saw Dough on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, and it is on my to do list. I have been to Big Lous several times and although it is good, It is too overcrowded. Big Papas in Schertz taste identical to it if not a little better without all the people, u should give it a try!!

Florio's in Alamo Heights is really good for thin, New York style, but you better bring cash. No plastic with a pretty good dose of New Jersey attitude if you try.

For deep dish, Chicago style, Chicago's Pizza on Blanco inside Loop 410 (same strip center as the Orignial Blanco Cafe) will do the trick.

There's also Naples at Huebner/NW Military. It's a little more traditional, but they use fresh ingredients with a little bit of a lighter sauce.

Big Lous has expanded. I like Little Italy on West Ave or if you prefer Chicago style try the one at Blanco and Oblate.

San Antonio is not a great pizza town but the ones mentioned are good.

There is a pizza place at vance jackson and 410 that has incredible pizza,

San Antonio doesn't like "good" pizza, San Antonio likes "CHEAP" pizza!! :P

Kennedy's on Potranco/151 is good. The usual chains are all over too. CPK makes some good stuff, as does EZ's...

Had the Goombas in Schertz a few weeks ago, and it wasnt good at all. Guess the ovens still need some breaking in. I will give it another shot in about 3 or 4 months.
