I recently lost 7 of my 8 rods in a boat accident, and then earlier today I snapped my johnny morris sig. rod when lifting a bass so now I have no active rods. I have a tournament in 3 weeks and im wondering with a budget of 300 dollars what rods I should buy. Any advice would help. rod and reel combos.

Take the JM sig back to BPS and get a new one for free, then pray for a rod riot! I have a bought a lot of good stuff off the classified section here. I would hate to think how much my stuff would have been had I payed full price for all of it. How's the boat?

Those H2O rod and reel are a good price. The rods at $60 and I think the reels are to. Someone help me out on the reels, the Mettel Reels.
Thanks,

Kinda cheap but just buy you a few combos no they not the best but will work until you get more I had 13 rods stolen at a weigh in at fork last year the next day I was fishing with pinnacle and Abu black max and other than the mental preassure the rods did fine just go spend 80$ apiece and work with what you have or check the classifieds I've seen lots of great deals just keep an eye open for a good deal and sorry to hear about your last rod breaking

Or some from Basspro Shop. They are good for the money. I have several of them and they work fine for me. Even some of the H2O rods from Academy, perhaps.

The H2O rods and H2O meetle reels are a great buy for the money. I have two of the reels and have had no problems with them. The cast a mile, or smooth and get the job done. Haven't gotten to use the rods yet but they feel great, another rod is a falcon hd around the same price as the H2O rods, I have 2 of these and they are my goto rigs.

49.99 each at acadamy all star classic series, and abu black max's or another lower end but quality 50-60 dollar real.
for around 300.00 you can three solid combo's and be fishing again.
I have revo's and silver and black max's. they aren't that much worse.
if i was on a budget that's all i would buy, i got a silver max when they were on clearence at acadamy for friends to use in my boat for 49.99, i wish i would have bought every one they had.
thats four reals for the price of one revo stx or what ever it's called(the 199.99 one, and almost 6 reals for the cost of one revo premier).
The classic series rods come in all kinds of rod weights so you can tailor your set-up pretty well very cheaply.

Check.... does your boat insurance policy not cover this???? Who is your provider? My provider--State Farm covers all lost, stolen, or damaged goods in the the boat.
do some checking...
