i was fishing side to side with Mr. Katie many times and i know is very good fishermen.
I fish all the time with artificials,not with live bait.Ms. Katie are fishing with live bait,just sometime with artificials,and still very good fisherman.

If you are lucky you can catch many fish,and many anglers who don't know wher to fish the same .But is just luck and is not hapening every day.

At Rollover Pass i am looking to catch trout and flouder.

Haven't been to the pass since Ike, my wife and I fished it just the week before Ike and absolutely KILLED the reds and caught a few specs. She had the best time of her life, 8 months pregnant pulling in upper slot and oversized reds, took home 2 limits including 2 oversized we tagged, biggest was 36" that she caught on a bare jighead (Yes the fishing was that good).

I miss that, need to make it out a couple more times before it closes down.

The Gilchrist Community Association is really making an effort to keep the Pass clean nowadays. They are holding a Pass Clean Up Day this Saturday, April 9th from 8:00am-12:00pm. All afternoon, they will be selling crawfish plates for $10 or by the pound for $5. If you volunteer, you get to enjoy a free plate of crawfish for free! All money made from the crawfish boil goes directly to helping the GCA keep the Pass open. We would love to see you all there on Saturday!

Anyone fished the pass lately ?
I may get a chance to give it a try this week .

i haven been there in a while, rumor has it that its been real windy there lately with poor results and lots of seaweed in the water. i plan on going there in abouot 2-3 weeks too.

Thank's , I didn't get loose and yea the wind has sure been rough .
Hopefully it will lay down some after this front .
If it does it's gonna be hard to resist a trip about Thursday .

Whats the water like and did they remove the dredging pipe out of the way?

That Dredging pipe has been long gone now. If you click on this link, you will get a good report every Monday on the latest of fishing at rollover pass. You will see Monday a new report, check it out. I always check on it every Monday. I plan on coming down there mysely in about 2 weeks.

We fished May 9,10, and 11th without much success. Lot`s of Seaweed, brown water and a 20 to 40 mile per hour wind made it difficult. The weed came in so thick at times we couldn`t keep all our rods out.

The good news is we got two Bull Reds. One over 40 inches the other about 35. The bad news is that was about it for three days of fishing. No Trout under the lights on either side.

The bait was there by the bridge on the bayside.

We will be back gonna get them next time.

Hey Fishonn....thank you for the report. Sorry to hear about the dadgum seaweed. That stuff is such a nuisance.

I plan on being there in 2 more weeks as part of my birthday gift woohoo. I'll be there for 3 days Tues,Wed and Thurs.
