Hey everybody. I'll be heading up to Fork to fish Friday through Sunday of this week. Anybody have any useful tips they can share? Anything would be greatly appreciated!

Trey we have been catching a lot of fish on crappie jigs in about 10-12ft of water right now. Later in the day you want to change over to night crawlers and fish in about 3-4ft and you will kill them. Hope this helps

Check out the recent guide reports on this forum (from this week). Pretty good information.

With Legends tourney coming up, my guess is that you're not going to get a lot of detailed information about where.

I can tell you that the topwater bait is improving and I'd bet the frog bite is too. And squarebill cranks worked well for me around timber in 10+ feet of water near spawning flats. At least they did at the end of last week

If it were me I would pick an area of the lake I liked and saturate it with multiple casts to any type of cover or structure in 0'-10' of water just to simply things. Focus on things like channel swings, points etc and throw to stumps, rocks, fenceposts, docks, brush, vegetation etc and hold on. Try your favorite type of bait to start with and just keep changing till you get some feedback. Keep a bait wet, fish thorough but fast and efficient at the same time. When you get a few bites in an area slow down and pick it aprt then use that info when you move to another area. Its that time of year where the tacklebox approach may have to be the deal. Don't overthink it. You will find fish coming and going from beds and even a few on beds with this method. Usually a piece of siolated cover near a depth change is money.
Maybe I am making it sound easier than it is but its how I go into hitting a lake I have not been on much this time of year.

Do you want to just catch "fish"? Or do you want a shot at a "trophy"?
The two styles of fishing is night and day. Not saying you can't catch one or the other doing something specific, but there are minor adjustments you can make to a pattern to allow for better odds at one or the other.

Explain more please and will this hold true in mid July for night fishing when I can head back up there?
