I buy mine every year, but then I got to wondering, why bother? There's no way I'm stopping for anyone in Mexico, so what's the point?

But I would think that only a Mexican official could ask to see it, tournament wise.
And i've never heard of anyone getting checked.

It's better safe than sorry, like mentioned if fishing a tourney your breaking a rule by not having it.

I agree. This year is the first time I didn't buy one. Like you said, if anyone is approaching your boat these days in Mexico, they are bad. There is no law enforcement on the Mexican side anymore.

2 reasons. As said, for tournaments -- part of the rules is to follow all the rules.
And I don't know if this is relavant to you, but for Christian reasons. Christians are suppose to submit to government rules unless they conflict with God's rules.

i enjoy spending the money on a texas liscense, because the money goes back to TPWD. but i seriously doubt it that when i buy a mexican liscense for $80 that any of that money goes to anything good down there.

You have a good point. I just couldn't do it, to much to go wrong anyways to worry about a license. What if your boat didn't start...that kinda stuff.

Buy $80 worth of Corona if you want to spend it on something from south of the border. Our tax dollars already support many of their people that are here and not citizens.

Many and Many Illegals Aliens come from Mexico and spread disease, Crime, Poverty to USA. They over burden the schools and hospitals, and sell lots of drugs

Just because thats what honest folk do. Honest Folks should round up all Illegals and turn them into the local Police department. Honest Folks should make the USCIS enforce legal Immigration into the USA, and not over look folks from the Mexico Honest Folks should rise and vote out all elected officals in government that don't enforce legal immigration.

Corona is not made south of the border, but I do agree with we are spending too much of our money to support Mexico.
