Wanted to share this photo of a very large Spiny Soft Shell Turtle we cpr'd after working it's way into our spread during a guided kayak fishing adventure, last week. This is one of the largest specimens I have ever personally witnessed in the wild.  Very cool creatures!

Here is one I caught at Joe Pool Lake this last fall. Probably 20 plus pounds. CPRd to fight again.

Here is mine. Caught it on Dove Road in Southlake. Was on the side of the road. CPR'ed at Grapevine Lake

I hate those things. I can't tell you how many times I thought I had a monster fish on the line only to reel in a soft shelled turtle.

Hog nose turtle are awesome imo. There are a lot of them though. Alligator Snappers are even cooler, cause they are so prehistoric looking.

Caught a softshell on a gitzit in a creek yesterday. Thought I had Toby there for a minute.

i foul hooked one in the back leg around that size at the ponds off wildlife. ooo man i thought i had a monster cat or gar but it turned out to be him diggin in since i was pulling him from behind!!!
