Pour a bowl of corn flakes or wheaties, pour water over the flakes then pour water off of them by placing hand over flakes and letting water trickle out, put some vanilla extract in the flakes, then scoop out the flakes in both hands and play like you're making a snowball. This will squeeze out the rest of the water and make a nice doughball. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes to set-up then pinch off enough to cover a small hook and you're ready. Use a split shot about a foot up the line from the hook and hang on!

Oatmeal... grab a handful, stick your hand in the water to moisten it, and then form a 'clump' on your hook by compressing the oatmeal-water mixed. ok - just a lazy way of doing it - the idea is to get a small amount around your hook - and the right amount of water will form the perfect paste to mold....
top or bottom fishing. My $.o2

why would you want to bow fish for carp?? is there sport in this for you?? sad really. hot lead between the eyes?? why catch a ten pound trophy fish when you caould catch a 40lb fish? I will continue to catch a least a 20lb carp every weekend with a 30lb not all that uncommon in fact have seen them caught this year up to 46lb. I fish all the time for the caro I can promise that a day of catching 20-30lb fish with me useing Euro carp angling methods will turn you off of bowfishing if you would like more info on carp fishing check out the www.roughfishanglersgroup.com [This message has been edited by Tao of Carp (edited 09-12-2003).] [This message has been edited by Tao of Carp (edited 09-12-2003).]

I like to use Wheaties and Big Red. Work it as directed in the above post until you get a good solid consistency. I like to use ultra light tackle i.e. spinning rod and reel with 6 lb. test. Use a small treble hook and form the bait into a teardrop. I dont use any weight. Just tight line it and hang on. Good Luck! JR

I agree with jj1rox. You can't beat a can of corn and small hooks.
