Wife has booked a place on Lake LBJ for this weekend as a Birthday Gettaway - I have never been on the Lake and wondered if there was any pattern that works and any area - NOT asking for your Honey Hole just general area - Next year I will be more detailed on the Lake I want to fish - Guess I Should Be Happy She Thought That Much about ME -- Thanks for any Info.

If you like catching numbers of little fish, you should enjoy LBJ. Throw watermelon flukes in the pockets, I also had a few hits on top water, but the bite wasn't quite on yet. There was some schooling activity early as well. Good luck!

Fish the small pockets and concentrate on visible lay downs and river weeds. Zoom Horny Toads in wat'red will due the job. Also try shallow cranks in the same areas and also along wooden boat docks. Also keep a norman deep little n {9' to 12') in splatter back tied on to fish areas that are rocky or a bit deeper. This should get you well on your way to bigger fish than what you might be expecting. Good luck and keep an eye out for the crazy jet skiers!

The wake boarders should be out in force as well. They will wear you out if you fish up the Colorado or Llano rivers. Main lake is easier to find less boat traffic. We'll be out there fishing a little tourney on Saturday. Good luck!

Is it an OPEN Tourney or a Club - If open what would the entry fee be?
