Has anybody used this? I have the 101 Riptide with I-Pilot and would like to have this option while catching bait next to shore. HArd to throw a net with that remote around your neck.

I have the older hard wired foot control, use it nearly every day and have had no issues with it.
Just remember it is not going to react as fast as a cable unit or a hand control.

I have the connectable wired foot control for my wireless TM. Love it, it works great and very easy to use.

I have the optional foot control for my I-pilot but haven't used it. But I have been around others that use the eletric foot control. In my opinion, I haven't seen the benefit in the eletric foot control. Of course, minus the fact of your wireless control not working.
If it is with your foot or your thumb, the process of directing your TM is the same - a push of a button. So there is no real way of knowing where your TM is pointed outside of site and boat movement. As compared to the traditional cable foot control, where you can get a feel as to what changes need to be made by angle of your foot on the control.
I don't have a problem working my I-Pilot and the cast net. At times, I have used the anchor feature while in 5ft of water. I'll just throw off the back of the boat while the motor keeps me placed where I need to be. And as far as the wireless control, put it on your belt if you don't like it around your neck.
