I am looking at getting a new pitching rod. I am looking mostly at 7 footers, but could go 7'3 if I need to. I have a Vendetta already in a 6'6 and LOVE it so that is in the race, but also looking at Veritas even though I have read lots of negative things about it, it seems to work for Ike! Also looking at Falcon Bucco, or saving a bit of money and getting one of the new Ethos rods, do those come in a 7'3 MH?? What do you guys think, like I said will mostly be used for pitching jigs and soft plastics, but will see other stuff occasionally!

Also the Mojo looks cool, but goes from 7' to 7'6 and that is just too long for me!!

If you're looking at the Bucoo, consider either the Falcon Original or even better, the Lowrider in the 6-1610. It's a 6-10 rod perfect for pitching.

BPS Carbon Lite. The 7'H x-fast tip. Great price.
My fav is the Boyd Duckett rods and they have a 7'3" MH that is awesome!
Every rod has had it's problems. I had only one Veritas break and that was because I was casting and so was my son and we crossed them I had a heavier bait and SNAP. My fault.

Don't you know you are never suppose to admit it is your fault that a rod breaks. You are always suppose to claim it was a manufacturing defect and take it back to Academy and exchange for a new one. smile
