just wondering if anybody has paddled there canoe out into the surf 100 or 200 yards out. thinking about it just dont fell like getting wet. any info would help

I have paddled my kayak probably 400 yards out before. You will end up a few miles down the beach, but its worth a try.

I would not try it in a canoe. All it will take is one 2-3 foot wave and you will get tiped. Canoes are not built for the surf.
