I don't need your spots, i just need help knowing where to put in and fish. I have a 17' bass tracker and I would like to stay off the main lake as much as I can.
Where should I put in and where should I fish on Saturday morning? Any information you can give me would be a huge help. Thanks guys.
P.S. coming from San Antonio.

If wind is blowing out of South then you can put in at any of the ramps on the south side and fish around those areas. You can also put in up river at the ramp there and be protected from the wind no matter what direction. I have not been to Choke lately, but if the grass is coming back like I hear it has then thats where you want to be.

Thank you. I also see that there is a tournament this weekend. That might scare me off with my boat.
But, in the end I will probably go. I have always wanted to fish Choke, so now I am going to do it regardless. Thank you again.

Think Bass Champs are there this weekend. That means a couple hundred boats. That is a big crowd to fight.
Have not heard any reports on Choke lately but like the man said, grass is a key. I may run down tomorrow. Got to check the weather and see what the wind is doing.

Thanks. I actually just sent you a PM Troy. Let me know how you do. If there is a couple hundred boats then I need a plan B.
Anyone ever fish Lake Calaveras Lake? What about Victor Brauning lake?

Tomorrow looks to the calmest day in weeks followed by more very windy days. A lot of boats on a lake that fishes small is not a good thing.

Big Jake -
I would put in at South shore boat ramp and stay on the south end. Wind is supposed to be screaming FRiday and calming down to about 15-18 on Saturday.
Try the area just behind the boat ramp at south shore. Also find the drilla and fish on this time of year. Not to much growing at South Shore yet, but some in the back of Naylors cove.

Thank you for the help. I am a little bit worried about the tournament. If there are hundreds of boats I need to find a new lake.

Oops, forgot about BassChamps! Don't put in at Calliham, it will be packed! Don't worry about it being crowded, most of those guys will be off the banks looking for the giants.

I have same boat. If i were you i would put in at 99 bridge. I put in at south shore a few weeks ago but ended up finding the fish around 99 area. Save u the long ride. What i don't like about that ramp though is the security. Idk if anyone has had any issues with that though. Have a good trip.
