I've noticed that since I've had my HDS unit(about 2 yrs) the key functions are getting gradually slower and slower to respond, especially on the map cursor and switching between displays. It's gotten to the point where it's hard to put the cursor over something on the structurescan b/c the cursor skips all over the screen. I've added some waypoints over the life of the unit, but not really that many (maybe 100-150 or so). Other than that, I can't think of what would slow it down so much. Could it possibly need a software upgrade or a reset or something?

whats your current software? 3.5 is the current software. Go to Lowrance site and go under down loads.
How many trails do you have save in the unit too?

I had forgotten about trails. I guess that could take up memory and slow it down? I'll have to check on the software.

Just an FYI, the 4.0 software has been released.
