WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!!

It is time once again for my annual warning to all of the residents and fishermen of Cedar Creek. This weekend, Billy and Varner will be leading me and 22 of my buddies on a fun filled fishing adventure. Like always, our priorities place having a good time over catching a limit, but I am sure that Billy and Varner can overcome that obstacle.

The homemade fishing lure contest will again be in play. Last year, my entry was a .38 Caliber Wad Cutter hammered into the back of a toilet shutoff valve. It worked great and caught a lot of fish, but I was edged out for the big fish pot. Other successful entries were car keys, money, bottle caps, washers, and just about anything else that you can imagine that will sink with a hook.

We look forward to seeing you all on the water Saturday.

That sounds like fun! If y'all are having a big fish contest with your homemade lures you need a big one. We have cought CC hybreds on lures as big as 6" long and over 1" wide.

Take a fish boating today!

That homemade fishing lure contest sounds like fun. Post a pic of all the entries when you follow up. I would like to see.

Have fun thumb

Heck George - we will bring yours too. Always do, but you run off when you see us coming. Some folks just have good sense.

A big ol' soup spoon works great. drill a couple of holes,
two split rings and one treble hook , you are in business.
