I know you don't like baitrunners so i'd go with the Riot's but I have daiwas and love mine. Solid reels.

iv read good and bad reviews on the Wychwood reels, seems the bait runner like to lock up or just not work at all, and the drag is the same way. i own the emcast plus reels, iv had them for over a year now and the only thing iv had bother me was the drag knob stopped clicking when i turned it, they do have flex in the body, you can feel the reel flex under pressure, i felt mine flex when i was fighting my 30, but the reel held its own and worked like a champ, the drag is smooth too, the line lay is good too. plus they have 10+ bearings thats more than most reels have. they are a good deal for a big pit or semi big pit or whatever you wanna call them. p.s i have the 5500 btw close to 400 yards with 12lb line.

I'd get the emblem Pro's but They are over $100 each and I want to buy a set for under $100 each.
Also, I don't use or like to use baitrunners, so tose are out of the question.

the emblem pro reels are not bait runner reels, altho you can get a quick drag knob setup i think, im like you i prefer a normal spool over a bait runner too, im used to it. i read the reviews on the ocean master, its iffy on that reel. and for the daiwa cross cast, well not alot of info on that reel, to me the wincast s looks better.

The Crosscast looks nice; however that price is in Pounds so that reel will be well over $100.00. The Riots are relatively new so it may take some time before we get an over-all picture on their performance.

I have casted with chris's emcast plus reels and was impressed with the distance I got from them, can't beat them for the money and they will hold alot of line.
I will also be at WR this weekend, perhaps I will see ya out there.
PB Common = 36-8 PB Buffalo = 62-8 PB Mirror (fully scaled) 13-0 PB Flat Head Catfish = 44

Go for these: Daiwa Basia 4 QDXs. If I could, I would just so I could spod the granny out of those fish. The Crosscast looks nice; however that price is in Pounds so that reel will be well over $100.00. The Riots are relatively new so it may take some time before we get an over-all picture on their performance. There's a currency changer on the top right of the website, in english they are the price I listed. I have casted with chris's emcast plus reels and was impressed with the distance I got from them, can't beat them for the money and they will hold alot of line.
I will also be at WR this weekend, perhaps I will see ya out there. That would be cool! I have been meaning to meet y'all.

Wychwood Riot Big Pit - $76
Offshore Angler Ocean Master - $84
Daiwa Crosscast S - $83
Daiwa Emcast Sport - $65
Daiwa Emcast Plus(cabelas) - $85
Daiwa Emcast Plus(bps) - $85
Alright, the Riot and Ocean Master are out, I guess it's all down to Daiwa now unless anyone wants to add any other high-spool-capacity reels to the list
no baitrunners under $100
