Plenty of brush piles around the shoreline near the 36 bridge. Probably in the 5 to 15ft range. I would vertical fish them with a 1/16th oz. sickle hook jighead, with a limetruse rocky top stinger jig from Finny Tribe. This is a killer bait for crappie. Fish it slow and easy just above the b/p and you should get bit! If your not hanging up every once in a while, your probably not going to get bit. They will suspend over a b/p at times, but that is not the norm for me. I usually guide on Granger, but will make the trip to Belton if you want a guided trip. Good luck!

Kevin's right... Fish it like you would any normal crappie lake. Find the structure find the fish! There are a lot of brush biles on Belton... just have to find them. Look in water 6-36' deep.

dont waste your time by sparta valley park area, cowhouse creek area, north of the bridge, or by the dam. the belly of the dragon is where the bounty lay.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
