Just wondering what your favorite baits are to flip or throw around boat houses for lots of bass?
Soft plastics, cranks, jigs anything.

I like a weighless rattlesnake or tornado around the pillings! That slow fall is hard to resist.

it seems to change each year. the snakes and tornados on a shaky head always catch quantity... but when you can hone in on what produces quality- you can win tournies. even then, that one bait will sometimes need to be adjusted throughout the day (weight, color, size, etc).

I love fishing jigs, so I always try to find some variation they will eat. i try to stay away from the smaller baits unless I am just fishing to catch fish.

The only baits I don't throw at boat docks are a C-rig and spinnerbait (that will change soon)

for numbers a shakey head is hard to beat.
for bigguns a jig is impossible to beat.

Not to hijack the thread, but what style/weight jig do you like around floating boat houses/marinas? Any trailer or color preferences?

What colors do you have the best luck with while finesse fishing? And how are the rattling jigs compared to the non-rattle jigs?
