Has anyone fished the Medina River in this area? I went bike riding in the natural area today and the river looks good, but I didn't see any access points to the river to put in a canoe. Thanks for any help!

i fished above the natural area under highway 16, it was shallow and full of snags. only managed to catch a little green sunfish and lost about 6 or 7 hooks and lures before i gave up.

If you walk in the natural are a little bit down, you can walk into the sides. there are some small trails. find you r spot and go. I have caught catfish in there but never consistently. My bro took a 4 pound 22 incher out last month and a few weeks before that, I took out a 3 pound 18 inch yellow cat. Used hot dog wieners on a treble hook. Have seen water mocassins in there and alligator gar as well. Not sure if you can put a canoe in there. There are brush dams along the way and points where it gets very shallow.
