who like the yamamoto senko i have tryed alot and theres are soft and high priced. soft is good (more bites and better action while sinking) but the price is way to high 7.99 at bass pro for a 10 pack. started useing pitbull senko this past week they are just as soft and he can pour any color u want and send u a pic to make sure the color is right. the price for his are $3.50 for 10 or $8 for 25.

I know I've looked at alternatives, they are sky high (for the weekend fun-fisherman)

For weightless applications I'll never use anything but Yamamotos. For a weighted tx rig I might consider an alternative.

I have used them for years but the new swim baits made by other companies with the notch on the tail, cost half the price, have been just as good this year for me

That's why I can't ever find them at Academy and the reason I started having to buy the GY Senko's. There good but way to expensive.

I used to think Yamamoto Senkos were just a good marketing ploy until I hooked a 7.65 pounder last weekend pitching a 5" real SENKO brand. Previously- I used Yum stickbaits and never hooked ANYTHING. I'm a believer and just recently bought my first bag. I'm sure there's other just as good ones out there, but I haven't tried them yet.

In a time when guys pay $50-$100 (or more) for swimbaits, a bag of Senkos are cheap.
My partner and I got a few bags of Senkos given to us when they first came out, they got tossed in the boat and were forgotten about... As things turn out, we were struggling for fish in a tourney one day so we decided to try them. 19lbs later, we decided that perhaps there might be something to these baits..
Been throwing them ever since.
Tear up in cover pretty easily and often they are one or two fish baits and then they are torn beyond use.
BUT, they catch fish and that is the name of the game.

Txduckhunter- I can't agree with you more. I'd rather drop 7 bucks for a bag of 7 which might cost me in the end 1.00 per fish instead of paying 4 bucks for a bag of 10 but might not get bit.

So obviously people believe in Senkos but what other brands are out there that people have gave a fair comparison too and seen results? I know everyone says Yum Dinger but personally I never had luck. Anything else out there at least close to Senkos soft touch and fish catching ability?

I've tried several brands and it's still Yamamoto for me. I have ten to fifteen bags in the boat right now I don't want to run out they are my confidence bait.

I fished yum dingers on amistad last week and was catchimg fish, i was down to two left so the next morn,. i was going to buy more and could'nt find them in the small shops so I spent the money on GY senkos and we doubled our catch from the day before, conditions were pretty much the same so it will be GY senkos for me for now on!
