I have been out fishing and not intentionally caught a 20lb drum. It put up a great fight. The fishing experience is what I am after. For $3300.00 I could almost upgrade my outboard motor which would be a lot more fun.

sry, but thats pretty cool, costs more than my boat, but if money was no concern, would love to have one of those, especially out on the coast

I actually did some research to try and find out about that unit. It was in the same ad as the AFTCO Extend-a-fish Elongator.

Will it ID small fish and bait? Probably not I dont buy it I would have to see it work in my own eyes and still wouldnt buy it cause its a Lowrance.

How did they catch fish and win tournaments in the 70's without 300 horse motors, $54,000 boats, $600.00 reels and $3400.00 fish finders?
I gotta admit, I'm a little intimidated at what is being offered out there.

I think we could have kept this up until next april.  One year they had an article on sailfishing on the flats. Great photoshop of a flats skiff hooked up to a jumping sailfish, MO
