I read that TPWD has stocked numerous reds in this lake, but rarely see any posts about it. Is this a good red-fishing lake?

Weird thing is they have stopped producing for some time now but TPWD continues to stock? Wonder why?

Galveston is closer than San Antonio. I just would like to put some reds in the freezer.

It is real sad that they shut down the power plant, this was one real good redfish lake, especially once you figured them out. I think They closed down the power plant sometime back in late 2001. I hope someday they fire up the plant again, because they still restock the lake with reds about every year, so if they don't fire it up, they will just die out; what a waste of money and time!
