I am a tube rookie...what do I need to buy? The tube, waders, fins? What is the best tube to buy that won't cost a lot. Thanks!!

If you plan to fish alot, you need to think about durability. The fishcat 4 is $195.00 at BPS or Cabelas. I use it alot and it stands up to alot of abuse. Then, I use this fin I got mine at Sports authority. They slip over neoprene and in the summer I wear a solid pair of socks when not wearing waders.

Thanks Mike. Do you have chest waders as well? In the summer and warmer water, I would think you could wear swim trunks. I didn't think about the sock thing. Good info! Thanks!

I wear chest waders when the water is cold. I go straight to shorts as soon as the water is tolerable. I just make sure I have socks because those fins will wear blisters on the back of your ankles.

I use the same flippers and if you check around some of the Academy stores have them on clearance for $9.88.
