Ok went the Academy in Mesquite (sp) looking for a chart and blue back crank bait in the CRS+ model and not only did they not have that they only had one model in that color. Since last xmas I have noticed that a lot of other colors and models have been discontinued and or been reduced to nxt to nothing. Does anyone know if the other Academy's have it or if they are redoing the CRS+ or what the deal is.

I have noticed the racks in the Killeen store are usually empty. Was hoping it was to allow resettint the displays

Check online, in my experience they discontinue colors and change em every year. Add glitter or something.

I believe I heard they were discontinuing some of the colors. It was the ones that were on clearance a couple of months back.

I've seen new colors pop up lately at the Tyler store and they had a cart full of clearance baits for 2.88 and I bought a [censored] ton of them. I hope they aren't killing the line.

I bought maybe 2 or 3 of the DD22 equivalent's, they cast terrible and spin in the wind. So personally I don't care if they stop making them.

jersey dan. get the smallest one they make with the big lip(its a .5 sized bait with deep lip). change the hooks, and BAM! sexy shad is my favorite color in that size.

sexy shad is a good color but you know as well as I do that the blue and chart is one too. Along with the one in that looks like the Aurara black.

They did discontinue some colors in some models and a few colors were discontinued totally. Bad Dad, for example, was the brownish craw pattern and it's gone from all models. Some colors will be back with some tweaking I understand. Anyway, they aren't going anywhere brand wise. The deep divers were redesigned to eliminate the bad casting issue and work great. There may be a few old ones around but I haven't seen one in a while. There are new frogs in a smaller size and they cast as well as the big ones. Just this week our local stores got the new 2Live rattlebaits. The finishes are truly amazing and they sport Owner trebles as well. Already caught some fish with them. The new multi-joint swimbaits are fish catchers too. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

I have been looking for the chartrus, blue back in the shallower crankbait. I wish they would come out with one.

Thanks,

They used to make that color. Several "stock" colors have been discontinued.
