So Im slowly but surely adding things to my kit so what is the most invaluable little thing you added to yours? Im talking about things above and beyond the essentials (no rods/reels/alarms/pods/net/landing mat etc.)
I have to say that a decent pair of braid scissors is worth its weight in gold. And the more I mess around with my mesh pva the more I like it as well.

Camera count? I would be nothing out there without my D3000 with me. Also, a lot of people(all the carpers) make fun of me for the pliers, I have some 13 inch long needlenose saltwater size heavy duty pliers that not only do a great job of removing hooks and crimping barbs but also do amazing for weighing down my landing mat!

I just bought the RH digital 60 kilo scale and got to use it for the first time yesterday. I love it! Also just bought some of the Korda Solidz PVA bags, very high quality! There is one piece af Carping gear I need to invest in...a good chair/bedchair!!!

Korda Rig Safe- It's pretty expensive for what it is (a rig holder), but it has made life a little easier when I have to switch rigs.
Korda Carp Cot- A big unhooking mat with walls. Keeps your fish contained if you step away from them.
Fox Illuminated Swingers- securely hold the line tight, and light up when you get a run.
Bank Buddy Stands- Cheap way to keep anything off the ground.

You can't ignore having a good/quality chair. I have been through like 3 chairs in the past 6 months..... and I really need to get a good chair lol.
Also, having a lighter is HUGE. I use mine for blobbing knot ends, breaking braid/mono, starting fires, boiling a tiny bit of water for shrink tubing(small metal cup with a handle). And also used for ppl bumming a light for a smoke(not me).

Fox boxes, decent rod bag with zips that doing need replacing all the time.
A chair is not essential for me as I don't sdpend much time sitting when I am carping - I am by the rods, scanning the water, checking things out around the area I am fish, catching fish. Really I could sit on the ground if I had to, so a chair to me is non-essential.
Favorite piece of kit would be the PVA stocking tubes and plungers from various companies (I wish they would standardize their sizes so they were all the same).

My rod quiver is very helpful; I carry four rods with reels, bank sticks, net, pod, throwing sticks, and umbrella all in one shoulder sling.

Yeah. Chair. I like the collapsable kind with the fold out footrest. Wal Mart used to have one, but they stopped carrying it. The one I use now was sixteen bucks from Big Lots. It has a zipper pocket on one armrest, and a slot for diet sodas in the other.
