You can catch a bunch of 2-3 pounders carolina rigging baby brush hogs around stumps in state park cove. State Park has cabins or Snappy Pappy's or Ragans.

nothing that i know of maybe a club or something. I was catching alot of fish on a skinny dipper but mainly smaller males. there are a few fish on beds still but not very many. I saw what looked like a little bit of a shad spawn going on the other day half way back in a creek and some fish schooling up a little so there is probably a topwater bite in the morning. If you like to fish deep there are some fish already out deep. I caught a big spot and lost a 5lber at the boat on a hot lips in about 18 ft of water saturday. Call robert at barefoot bay he has some nice little cabins and a good camp ground 903 856 3643. The crappie are biting too from what i hear under the bridge there at the marina.

I know the Eastman bass club will be there Saturday. We'll be launching from the state park.
+1 on calling Robert he's good to deal with. We stay up there a bunch of times throughout the year and pull our RV up there to his camp grounds, we always enjoy staying there.
Any one know what the waters doing. Temp, clarity, I'm assuming it's still around 3.5 - 4 ft low?
