You are correct, everyone is entitled to there own opinion. I throw the rattle snake's as much or more than anyone on here and can tell you from my experience they have changed. First I will say I still have a world of confidence in them and am continuing to use them. There are several problems I am having with the worms right now. Availability is probably my biggest complaint, followed by there durability and consistency. I only have access to Academy here in Longview to purchase these baits and they are very unreliable. I know there is the option to order from the web site but I don't want to order from there, I enjoy going to the store and buying my baits while looking at all the other baits there. I also know first hand that this is not all of Academy's blame, GB is very slow at keeping up production on some baits. I understand they moved there pouring to here in Texas but the fact is I was able to get the worms alot easier when they were wherever they were at. Now you can say that they improved to a higher grade plastic to improve whatever but the fact is the worms do not hold up even close to as well as they did before. Which equates into more dollars spent as a customer. Also the color has changed on one of the worms, is this part of the better plastic or is this a way to produce the worms at a lower cost??? I don't know but I do not understand changing something that works as well as it does, this is the third time this color has changed in approximately a year. With this being said I understand you are on his pro staff but I do not understand why you are defending something that is not there. As a pro staffer you should be the first one up there telling him that he is making some changes that don't seem to really be working. Also as a pro staffer are you part of these changes? If you are and these baits actually did work better for you please share with us what we are doing wrong so we can correct our mistakes and continue to be happy with Grande Bass.

One of the top baits of choice among Professionals and weekend warriors as myself.

Not my definition of upgraded, looks like something manufactured from China and the only evidence of Mega 3 is the the writing on the bag.
I bought over 15 bags of GB product at Academy last week to restock my boat. The product was dry, scentless and had multiple plastic defects on the snakes that made them look like mutants realmad My confidence is no mas with GB until the original formula is restored. I like most will pay the extra for quality and confidence in any product. I wonder how much testing the Pro Staff for GB did before the change was implemented hmmm and would like to see a report of their feedback hmmm
I'll keep my guns, freedom and money
Grande Bass can keep the "change" flag

So your the reason my Academy was sold out of most of the GB bass products!? lol I had to settle for the 8" in trophy hunter and the 6" senko style bait in the same color. all the smaller snakes were sold out with only a few colors left frown.

Academy won't take'm back and I doubt I can rid of them at half price without someone trying to whip my arse and I have to many friends to give them away. bang Just so you will know nuts I have got paid plenty banana using Rooma Zoom Zoom baits

May have to go to the tornado. It appears to have just as much scent as the new snakes. Looks the same

I can tell you that Grande tried to soften up the plastic to give it 50% more action and float a bit more but used the exact same quality plastisol. No cheapening out...believe me, Jerry is always trying to produce better bait and would never cheapen his art. He has switched back to the medium texture to address everyones concerns weeks ago so you will see the same texture showing up very soon. It was never inferior quality, just different and I know Im catching the as many or more for some reason..I believe its the better action but everyone seems to prefer the old so thats what hes going back to.
Regarding the bags, they are temporary because he's resized them and waiting on delivery. I believe they will be in shortly so those will disappear. Hes coming out with a larger count bag for convenience. I know I cant wait for the bigger quality bags. I always throw 2 into one to pack into the boat.
What I don't get is everyone saying that they dont have as much Mega3. My bags have the same or more and theyre catching fish so Im happy. Are they softerYes but for a good reasonaction.
Im just happy to see everyones comments because they mean that you like the innovative brand that Jerry is always trying to improve anyway possible. He is bass fishings best friend in that regard.
Thanks for all the feedback because its being taken seriously and thats all anyone can ask for.

Why did Jerry start doing the mold himself..... I would have thought they were making enough money for him to keep doing things the way they were.

I have been using the the new Grande's and haven't noticed a bit of difference still smell the same, has the same quality and I'm still catching bass(and some crappie) like nobody's business. As far as durability goes I think that has to do with how the fish is hooked and the fight.Because sometimes I will catch one fish and the worm is trashed, but more time than not these worms hold up well.Me and a buddy of mine just came of a trip where we caught 25 bass up to nine pounds and used 16 of the 4.5 rattlesnake green pumpkin. Not to bad.So if your frustrated with them that would be good thing for the rest of us who do because they would be easier to find in stock.Grande's are awesome.Love'em

Guys, I have been on a text string with Jerry for the last thirty minutes. He is busier than a "one armed wallpaper hanger ina Kansas tornado!". Everything that Randy told you is fact. There was only one batch produced at the softer plastic even though it was the same plastisol and they went back to the original vrsion because it just didn't feel right. The Mega 3 scent is even more intense than it was before, so the "pizza sauce" is intact. The new packaging should be in tomorrow in two sizes.
Jerry is running the new equipment and is satisfied that he is performing to the same standards as before, these changes were an attempt to improve the product even more, but as any good business man would do, he went back to the tried and proven when he didn't like the results.
He would get on here himself, but as I already pointed out he' is working hard to get the stuff out of the door. Please be patient, you won't be dissappointed. thumb

Why would he let the "results" get out the door if he wasn't happy with them?

Did you buy any of them, or receive any of them. If you did and do not like them, we can talk to Jerry about possibly replacing them with some that he may be producing now. I cannot answer your question because I don't know how many were sold in that batch and who may have received them. The fact is that he did make a change either because someone else let him know or he made the decision based on his own dislike of the softer high floating worm. I do know that Jerry wants his customers to be happy with the baits.
