I'm thinking about getting a Shimano voltaeus for a crankin rod. 7ft medium or med heavy. has anybody had any problems with these? and what kinda reel do ya'll use for crank baits? 70$ is my budget for the reel.
Thanks

I have two Voltaeus I use for my kayak rods because I don't want to drop my good stuff in the water. Not that these aren't good but at $17.99 each (clearance) I wouldn't lose my mind if they went overboard. I put a H2O Mettle on each. I have 65lb braid on the MH and 14lb flouro on the M.
